Can you ladies believe it’s almost Thanksgiving??! When I started my inaugural post about this Pretty Powerful Series last month, I was just decorating for Halloween with ghosts and pumpkins! But at 47 years of age, I should know by now that these last three months of the year are ALWAYS a blur and go by way too quickly!

Like I mentioned in October, these monthly round-up posts are simple beauty, skincare, or lifestyle finds that particularly stand out, impress me, or just help me with my overall self-image during the month. These things have basically made a “pretty powerful” impression on me – ha ha!!
Speaking of skincare, if you’re needing some help with achieving smoother looking skin, my post last week dived right into the steps and products working their magic for me currently, so take a look. I’ve found some stellar products at great price points you can immediately update your routine with.
Now, of course, like a good friend does, she does not gatekeep great things from her friends – she shares them! So let’s get into this month’s most loved favorites and see if anything speaks to you
Pretty Powerful November Beauty Favorites
November Beauty Favorites #1
Eylure ¾ false lash strips in No. 015 cost $11. If you want to try false lashes but worry they might look too dramatic or feel heavy on your eyes then this style is worth testing out. You can apply them straight from the package without any trimming and they include a small tube of glue in the box. These lashes work well on pretty much anyone. I wore them for the photos in this post and they add just the right amount of volume & length while still looking natural. They make a great choice for holiday parties when you want your makeup to look a bit more special.
November Beauty Favorites #2
L’Oreal Infallible Makeup Setting Spray costs $11. The scent reminds me of actual hairspray but for your face. I got past that because this product really works to keep your makeup in place all day long. I’ve been attending many UGA football games recently with all-day tailgating. I spray this generously on my face and my makeup still looks fresh when I get home after hours of walking around and cheering & eating. You should try this if your skin seems to absorb your makeup before the day ends.
November Beauty Favorites #3
Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation costs $69 & I wear shade light medium 9. I really did not want to enjoy this product because it is so expensive but I genuinely do. The formula is incredibly thin & liquid when you first see it. Your initial thought is that something this watery cannot possibly provide any coverage at all. However it completely surprises you once you apply it. The texture feels exactly like a serum on your skin. It has almost no weight to it whatsoever. Despite being so light it blurs imperfections in a beautiful way without feeling heavy on your face. My wallet is not happy about this discovery.
November Favorites #4
Bauble Bar makes personalized blankets and throws that cost up to $118. Gift-giving season is here & if you want to spend about $100 this is a great choice. The blanket feels personal and soft while looking adorable. You can pick from many different styles & color combinations. I keep mine in my office and every client who visits tells me how cute it looks.
If you’re struggling with a good gift to give someone that isn’t a random candle or fruitcake, give them one of these blankets with their first or last name initial, or full name. It’s a truly winning gift! Just be sure to order no later than 12/11 to get them in time for Christmas.
November Favorites #5
Hoka Kawana 2 sneakers cost $99. I recently dealt with terrible foot pain when I exercised or walked around my neighborhood & attended my Fit Body boot camp classes. The problem was that my old sneakers were completely worn out with no tread remaining. People told me that Hoka shoes were extremely comfortable but I didn’t want to pay more than $150 for athletic shoes. Then I received a notification that this particular model was discounted to $99 and I immediately bought them in the cosmic gray color. These shoes feel incredibly comfortable and provide excellent cushioning. If you want supportive athletic shoes you should consider buying these while they’re still available at this reduced price.
November Favorites #6
Amazon sequin palazzo pants for $35 are perfect for the holiday season. I bought these back in February for a 50th birthday party and have been surprised by how often I reach for them. The elastic waistband stays put without slipping and the high waist design flatters your midsection. I even wore them to the big Georgia versus Texas game and they were comfortable enough for a full day while still looking special. You can style them casually or dress them up for fancier occasions. People always ask me about them when I wear them out. I’m wearing a small in these photos.
November Beauty Favorites #7
L’Oreal Infallible matte liquid lipsticks in the shade Worth it Medium cost fifteen dollars. The brand also makes this color in their newer lacque formula that has a slight shine & lasts a long time. This lipstick works well for holiday dinners and cocktail parties because it stays on while you eat & drink wine. The best way to apply it is to put on two thin coats and wait a few seconds between each layer to let it dry.

Alright, friends, is anyone in charge of cooking for Thanksgiving? I’m hosting 26 family members at my house the evening of, BUT, I’m ordering takeout because that’s a way too overwhelming number for me. I’ll make this tomato Boursin cheese dip for an app – it’s easy and so delish, and I’ll have plenty of mimosas, but everything else will be handled by a restaurant, and I’ll delegate desserts to other family members. Please don’t judge! Less stress, more family time, without me being stuck in the kitchen all night. I hope you all have the best holiday
