EWGT2025 focuses on advancing the use of operations research methods, mathematical and statistical models, and computational algorithms in transport analysis, planning and operations. Submissions are welcome across a range of areas, broadly classified below for convenience, though this categorization is flexible and not strict. These include, but are not limited to:
- Analysis and data-driven methods: traffic and network modelling, demand modelling and forecasting, emission modelling, data analytics, AI applications, IoT for mobility, human factors.
- Planning and policy: climate resilience, sustainable and equitable mobility, safety and public health, rail systems, air and maritime systems, autonomous vehicles, decision-support tools.
- Operations & management: vehicle and traffic control, logistics operations, infrastructure operations and management.
- Innovative mobility concepts: smart cities, digital twins, advanced air mobility, alternative fuels, transport 4.0/5.0.
Special session announcement
EWGT2025 will also feature a special session on connected and automated driving, addressing topics related to the impacts of connected and automated vehicles in mixed traffic on roads. The session will focus on areas such as traffic impacts, human factors and societal implications, mobility shifts, and urban design challenges. The detailed call for this session can be downloaded here.
